VBS 2019!

VBS 2019 is here!!

DATES:
June 03 - 07 2019
Monday - Friday - 6:00 PM - 8:30 PM

INFORMATION:
Welcome to VBS 2019!!

Gas up the all-terrain vehicle and head out on a wilderness adventure like no other. Get up close and personal with elephants and egrets, polar bears and penguins, cockatoos and crocodiles, and so much more! Grab your camera and zoom in on these animals in their natural habitats. Maybe you can even snag a snapshot or two!

This summer kids will focus in on some amazing, real-life encounters with Jesus. Each encounter is like a snapshot—a special moment in time captured on the pages of Scripture. Through VBS, kids will discover that each snapshot of Jesus is an opportunity to respond to the gospel. When put together, these isolated encounters clearly reveal the most amazing truth of all—Jesus Christ is the Messiah, the Son of God, and by believing we can have life in His name. Are you ready for an up close and personal encounter with Jesus? The adventure of a lifetime awaits!

”But these are written so that you may believe that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God, and that by believing you may have life in his name.” John 20:31 (CSB)

A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place by Beth Moore
The Mom's Bible Study Group will be starting this study on Wednesday, January 16, at 6:30 p.m. in the Life Group Building. This 10 session study will be led by Linda Schrack. Books are $20 and will be available at the study.

A Woman's Heart: God's Dwelling Place - Bible Study Book by Beth Moore provides a personal study experience five days a week plus viewer guides for the group video sessions of this in-depth women's Bible study. Explore the fascinating account of the building of the Old Testament tabernacle, the significance of its intricate design, its pivotal role in God's eternal plan, the grand fulfillment of its purpose by Jesus Christ, and its variety of meanings for your walk with God today.

Perhaps no Old Testament event so dramatically illustrates God's persistent desire to relate to His children as the building of the tabernacle in the wilderness. Through the tabernacle God initiated a deeper relationship with His Chosen People by bringing reconciliation and revealing His glory. And certainly, no Old Testament event so richly prefigures the coming of the true Tabernacle, Jesus Christ. You will be challenged to prepare your heart, like the holy of holies, to become a home for His love and glory — a dwelling place for the Most High God.

Made To Crave Bible Study

The Women's Ministry kicks off the new year with a Bible study to go along with your New Year's resolutions!

This study starts Thursday, January 17 at 6:30pm in the Fellowship Hall. This study will meet every Thursday until February 28 (except for February 14) and will be led by Barbara Cox. Study materials will be available at the study for $16.50 per person. Participants are asked to bring a finger food to share.

In this six-session Bible study, New York Times bestselling author Lysa TerKeurst helps women understand how cravings for lasting spiritual satisfaction are often mistaken for cravings for food.

According to Lysa, craving isn’t a bad thing. But the challenge is to realize God created us to crave so we’d ultimately desire more of Him in our lives, not more food. Many of us have misplaced that craving, and overindulge in physical pleasures instead of lasting spiritual satisfaction.

If you or someone you know is struggling with unhealthy eating habits, Made to Crave will help:

*Break the “I’ll start again Monday cycle” and start feeling good about yourself today
*Stop beating yourself up over the numbers on the scale and make peace with the body you’ve been given
*Discover how weight loss struggles aren’t a curse but, rather, a blessing in the making
*Replace justifications that lead to diet failure with empowering go-to scripts that lead to victory
*Eat healthy without feeling deprived
*Reach a healthy weight goal while growing closer to God through the process

Sessions include:

From Deprivation to Empowerment
From Desperation to Determination
From Guilt to Peace
From Triggers to Truth
From Permissible to Beneficial
From Consumed to Courageous
Bonus session: Moving the Mountain
