Men’s Ministry

FBC Brooksville men’s ministry

We believe strongly in the responsibility and calling God has given to men.

Ephesians 5:23-33 This is a task we cannot afford to neglect, as men are to be the main disciple makers of their homes. Therefore, in order to disciple them to grow into a picture of authentic manhood, we constantly lay before them the RALI

cry of their calling!

“Be on alert, stand firm in the faith, ACT LIKE MEN, be strong.” 1 Corinthians 16:13

Rejecting passivity – Accepting responsibility – Leading courageously – Investing eternally

Vision and Mission

To disciple men to fulfill their created design primarily in the home, church and culture by being godly husbands, fathers and servants. That men would begin to develop Paul/Timothy mentoring relationships with each other. That men would be released from many good things in order to have space in their lives for the great things. That men would model servant leadership to our women, children and younger men.

“And the things which you have heard from me in the presence of many witnesses, these entrust to faithful men, who will be able to teach others also.” 2 Timothy 2:2

Strategy

We would seek to implement the mission and vision by employing these strategies: 1. Create an intense, theologically rich curriculum to walk through on a continual or designated rotation, as men are to be the spiritual teachers and leaders in their home and the church and as such need to have a solid foundation to build upon. 1 Corinthians 3:5-15   2. Use this gathering to develop the Paul/Timothy disciple making relationship Proverbs 27:17   3. At the conclusion of this training, encourage these men to both repeat the process with a new “Timothy”, and start actively serving the body in one of several capacities. (deacons, teachers, potential elder/pastor leadership pipeline) 2 Timothy 2:2   4. Direct our efforts to what is best for the development of these men into the king/warrior/mentor/friend God calls them to be.  5. Increase the opportunities for men to engage each other, teach their sons, stand in the gap for sons of single moms, etc., by further developing fishing/hunting/repairing/outdoors type of gatherings. Philippians 2:5-8
