The Best Is Yet To Come!
For FBC members, I hope that you will find this page helpful. I'll put links, sermon notes and other things on this site from time to time. If you have any ideas of other resources that I could make accessible to you on this page, send me an e-mail or call and let me know.

If you are someone who doesn't presently attend church, I'd love to give you an enthusiastic invitation to come and visit with us sometime soon. Please make sure I get the privilege of meeting you!

A Few of My Favorite Websites

VIDEO
If you've got 50 minutes to sit in front of your computer, Paul Washer's sermon is worth every moment! It may shock you. It may even anger you. But it almost certainly will make you stop and think about your standing with God.

The Apostle Paul wrote the letter to the Galatians because they had distorted the Gospel. Is it possible that the Gospel is still being distorted today ... by evangelicals? Take the next 35 minutes to view Hell's Best Kept Secret with Ray Comfort and Kirk Cameron of Way of the Master Ministries.

See John MacArthur's practice of taking the issue, no matter what it is, back to the Word of God. His example illustrates how a Christian should study and understand God's Word while realizing that it is the final authority for our lives.

Watch a very moving and convicting sermon by Jim Cymbala on prayer.

BIBLE STUDY TOOLS
If you want a free Bible program with all sorts of Bible study helps that you can download to your computer, go to E-Sword. I've used this program for years. An online source of great Bible study tools can be accessed at StudyLight and Baptist Start.

To download free audio Bibles to your iPod, MP3 player or computer, click here.

PRAYER TOOLS
If you have a heart for the world and would like to have a tool to help you pray specifically for the various countries, you will want to visit the sites of CompassionNet (provides minimal information) or Operation World (provides in-depth information) daily.

GROWING IN GODLINESS
If you're tired of being a nominal Christian, you'll want to go to this website to get helpful information on fasting that will help you grow in your Christian walk. I've used the information on this site for my own personal growth.

Dr. Albert Mohler, president of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, hosts a radio program that is "devoted to engaging contemporary culture with the biblical truth." I listen to this program online often. Click here to listen.

WORSHIP SERVICES
If you have a high-speed internet connection, you can enjoy watching the weekly worship service of these wonderful churches whose pastors I have grown to greatly admire.

  • Idlewild Baptist Church services (where Ken Whitten is pastor) can be accessed by clicking here. Pastor Ken's sermons are delivered from a heart that is passionate for the Lord and His Word. His humor is enjoyable and his excitement is contagious.
  • Grace Community Church services (where John MacArthur is pastor) can be accessed here. His hour long sermons are worth the time it takes to listen. His messages are obviously the product of someone who has done intense study and delights to share the truths of God's Word.
  • Shadow Mountain Community Church's services (where David Jeremiah is pastor) can be accessed by clicking here. His sermons have an enormous amount of pathos that is created by his friendly, warm delivery. He is well-versed in Scripture and obviously enjoys explaining and applying it for his listeners.
