Do I have to be a member of First Baptist Church of Brooksville to be married here?

Yes. Couples who are members need to submit an application (i.e. the Bride or the Groom must have an active membership for a minimum of six months prior to the wedding date).


How far in advance should I book my wedding?

Wedding dates may be booked as early as one year in advance but at least 90 days in advance of the wedding date.  Dates are on a first come first serve basis.


Can a minister from another church officiate a wedding at FBC Brooksville?

Yes, but all ministers must be approved by our staff as having like faith.


Is pre-marital counseling required?

Yes. Pre-marital counseling through an approved Christian Counseling Center should be completed 30 days before the wedding date.


Why do I need a church wedding coordinator?

The church coordinator will help you understand church policies, review services available to you, and direct both your rehearsal and the day of the wedding.


How much does it cost to have a wedding at First Baptist Church?

There are minimal personnel fees associated with custodial, sound, and lighting with a wedding at FBC.


Does the church have wedding packages that are all-inclusive?

No, the church does not provide floral, photography or wedding cake services. Wedding costs are quoted according to your specific ceremony plans.


Are there any moral requirements or restrictions to having a wedding at First Baptist Church of Brooksville?

Yes, the fellowship hall or the student center may be used for wedding receptions.
